A giant asteroid hurtles towards Earth, promising mass extinction. A disgraced NASA driller, Harry Stamper, is humanity's last hope. Recruited for a suicidal mission, Harry leads a ragtag crew of deep-core miners to drill into the asteroid and plant a nuke. Facing technical hurdles, internal conflicts, and dwindling time, Harry must overcome seemingly insurmountable odds.
