The Prestige revolves around two great magicians, Robert Angier (Hugh Jackman) and Alfred Borden (Christian Bale). They were initially friends, but because their dream of creating the most attractive show was too great, they were drawn into a life-and-death competition with a tragic ending.  Like many other films by Christopher Nolan, The Prestige has a relatively complex structure. The non-chronological storytelling leads to some places where viewers will feel vague and difficult to grasp.
