In "Prometheus" (2012), a team of scientists, led by archaeologists Elizabeth Shaw and Charlie Holloway, embark on a journey aboard the spaceship Prometheus to a distant moon, LV-223, in search of humanity's origins. They discover an ancient alien civilization and a complex of structures that seem to hold the key to mankind's creation. However, they soon realize they are not alone, encountering hostile creatures known as Engineers, as well as the dangerous alien substance known as the black goo. As they uncover the dark secrets of the Engineers and their own existence, they must fight to survive and prevent a global catastrophe.
